The band perform tailor-written arrangements of big band classics from the 1930s and 1940s, drawing inspiration from the great swing bands of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman. Swinging like a full-scale dance orchestra, they are never afraid to try something new and you can also expect anything from 1920s New Orleans jazz to 1950s jive hits in every show.
The Down for the Count Swing Orchestra are as much fun to watch as to dance to, with show-stopping solos and fabulous vocals. The band regularly sell out top London jazz clubs including Hideaway and Pizza Express Jazz Club, and have performed at top vintage festivals including Twinwood Festival, Jumpin' at the Woodside and The London Swing Festival.
